Summer Fun

Kennedy and Graham... enjoying the view
Luke loved the sand... for a little while, at least!

Yay!! Summer is here!! The last day of school for the kiddos was June 3rd, and we have all been enjoying the time off. It is nice to not have to rush around every morning and just let the kids relax. I was worried that it would be hard for me to get in all of my workouts with everyone at home, but so far it has been pretty manageable... and the race is now less than two weeks away, so I think we're gonna make it! :-) I am looking forward to REALLY relaxing and being able to sleep late with the kids!

We have had a really fun summer so far. We went to Schlitterbahn one day, and had so much fun (now that Luke can hang with the big kids) that we bought season passes.... so we will be back soon! Last week, we took a trip to Port Aransas and played on the beach for a few days. Kennedy and Graham really liked it, but we found out that Luke is not so much a beach boy (he doesn't like to be dirty!). He even tricked me a few times by pretending he needed to poop, and when we got to the restroom area, he jumped right into the pool... and laughed at me for falling for it. We are going to spend a week in Destin in July, so he will just have to learn to love the beach as much as his mom!

The kids have been swimming a lot, and already have great tans! We have only taken the boat out once so far, but I am pretty sure we will go to the lake a bunch again this summer... the kids love tubing. Right this minute, the kids are very excited about going fishing. Clint is taking them after dinner, and they can't wait. I will probably tag along and take some pictures... Stay tuned! :-)
